ROBIN FLATT - Voice

Robin Flatt is a proud graduate of Richland College, a community college previously part of Dallas County Community College District (DCCCD) (and one of four National Association of Schools of Music [NASM] accredited community colleges in Texas). She continued to Tarleton State University (TSU) and Southern Methodist University (SMU), where she completed her Master of Music in Vocal Performance while teaching voice lessons to SMU students. Robin’s performance highlights include Lauretta in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi as well as Papagena in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte while at SMU. In addition, while at TSU, she performed Lucy in Menotti’s The Telephone and not only winning TSU’s concerto competition, but also took home Tarleton’s Music Major of the Year award. Robin has been featured in jazz, Latin, and percussion concerts, and has performed as a soloist with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra (FWSO) for TSU’s biannual Masterworks concert.. She has worked with students of all ages (from elementary school to retirement age), all goals (from karaoke to professional), and  all backgrounds.

Robin’s top priority for students is to HAVE FUN singing and lives to celebrate their achievements alongside them! Beyond voice technique, she believes in building a firm and self-sustaining musical foundation. Students are given the tools and experience to be curious, know themselves, teach themselves, and (this is critical!) believe in their own beauty and capabilities. We must discover together that it is okay to do hard things.
