Maggie Williams - Piano/Music Therapy

Ms. Maggie comes from a musical family of vocalists and instrumentalists, and she herself began singing at age 10. Maggie first discovered music therapy while researching for a high school science fair project about music and emotion. After working her first job in a senior residential home, she discovered her desire to help others. Maggie pursued music therapy to combine this interest with her passion for music.

In college, Maggie majored in Music Therapy where her musical training extended beyond her vocal jazz and pop background, but also to classical voice, acoustic guitar, and piano. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas Woman’s University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Music Therapy and a minor in Applied Psychology. Throughout college, Maggie was a member of the Touchstone Honors Program, TWU Concert Choir, and served in various leadership positions in the Iota Omega chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota. As part of her degree requirements, Maggie completed a six-month music therapy internship at Children’s Health, and attained her CBMT credential.
