Dr. Katya Chernaya-Oh
As an acclaimed and award-winning pianist, Dr. Ekaterina Chernaya Oh enjoys a distinguished career as a soloist, collaborative artist and pedagogue. After early study at the Saratov State Conservatory in Russia, she came to United States for further studies at the University of Wyoming and University of North Texas where she studied with the world- renowned pianist Vladimir Viardo winner of the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition and Artist-in-Residence at UNT. Dr. Ekaterina Chernaya has delighted audiences in a wide array of venues. She has appeared at the Rachmaninov Hall Moscow Conservatory, Skryabin Museum, Saratov State Conservatory Hall. She has performed as a soloist with the UNT Wind Symphony and the Saratov Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra. Dr. Katya Chernaya-Oh frequently performs as a collaborative artist at Dallas Opera, University of Texas in Austin, University of North Texas in Denton, and other venues.
