Ro

Ro

Ms. Hyun Ae Ro is originally from South Korea.  She began her piano studies at age 5, taking lessons from her mother who was a piano teacher.  She later came to the United States to pursue her music education at Dallas Baptist University with a full scholarship in Piano Performance.  At DBU, Ms. Ro studied under Dr. Baca and Dr. Quillian.

Ms. Ro will soon receive a Master’s Degree in Piano Pedagogy, after concluding two remaining recitals.  She earned an internship to study teaching private and class piano to young and undergraduate students at TCU.  She is conducting extensive research in the area of small hands on piano for her lecture recital.

At TCU, she is studying Piano with Professor Owings, Division Chair in Piano, and piano pedagogy with Dr. Gipson, President of MTNA and Director of Piano Pedagogy in TCU.Boukadoum & student

Ms. Ro has been teaching piano since 1998; she has had students of all ages and levels, in private and group settings.  Her students received prizes in competitions in Korea.  In addition, she has a vast experience in accompanying voice students and choir.  She has served over 10 years as an accompanist in local churches.

Ms. Ro joined the piano faculty at Coppell Conservatory in the summer of 2009.  Her dedication to  teaching ensures that each student will receive instruction and guidance that are tailored to their individual levels, needs, and strengths.  She teaches not only notes and piano technique, but also inspires imagination, creativity, and self-discipline.

Ms.Ro is a member of CMTA, the Texas Music Teachers Association (TMTA), and the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA).
